The Princess of Wales owns an abundance of heirloom and heritage jewels–ranging from Queen Elizabeth II’s Silver Jubilee Pearl Earrings to Princess Diana’s Cabochon Sapphire Drop Earrings. Still, she often wears jewelry with no known provenance–case in point: her dazzling emerald bib necklace and matching square studs worn to the BAFTAS circa 2018 as well as her morganite and diamond statement earrings worn most recently at the Jordanian wedding in 2023.
Now, Kate’s latest mystery jewels have an origin story. The ruby gems seen on the princess on three recent occasions have been identified.
The set has been identified as bespoke creations of jeweler G. Collins & Sons. Vogue and Vanity Fair Magazine made the identification in a recent articles.

Kate has worn the red jewels each surrounded by a halo of diamonds on three occasions in 2025; she donned the set at VE Day 80th Anniversary Celebrations in May 2025, later, she wore the gems in September 2025 for the official Welcome Ceremony for President Trump at Windsor Castle. Finally, she also sported the earrings at Armistice Day in November 2025.
Adding a hint of regal red to any ensemble, the stones are thought to be a tribute to Prince George whose July birthstone is the ruby.
G.Collins & Sons has created pieces for Kate in the past; the mom of three has worn Tanzanite blue earrings from the British family-led fine jewelry company on many occasions over the years.
She has frequently sported sparkling blue studs featuring an inverted pear shape encircled by tiny diamonds from the London luxury jeweler. The so-called “G. Collins Tanzanite Earrings” have appeared on Her Royal Highness on eight different occasions beginning in 2015 and most recently at Order of the Garter in June 2022.
G.Collins & Sons is not a surprising choice for the princess who prefers sustainable brands; the company specializes in restoring antique items and also work to utilize diamonds sourced from regions with ethical standards. The brand also recycles gold particles and surplus precious metals.
Plus, the the company already has the regal seal of approval and holds an official royal warrant.
