Climbing to new heights! The Princess of Wales showed off her athleticism and determination by completing the National Three Peaks Challenge in an effort to tackle a new feat following her cancer diagnosis two years ago in March 2024.
Proving to herself that she could survive and thrive following her battle with the disease, the princess took the opportunity to journey on the 23 mile trek to raise funds for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, the organization affiliated with the hospital where she underwent her cancer treatment.
The princess completed the challenge alone, but with the support of the Mountain Rescue Service, and was greeted at the foot of Mount Snowdon by William, George, Charlotte, Louis, Carole and Michael Middleton, as well as her brother James, when she finished.
The Princess of Wales was photographed at the summit of Ben Nevis, Scotland’s highest peak.
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity launched a dedicated fundraising page so that people across the United Kingdom could contribute and make donations. The funds raised for the charity will help more people with cancer benefit from holistic care.
Kate’s solo hike supported her mission to raise funds for alternative healthcare treatment and supportive integrative medicine.
In a personal message posted after completing the challenge, the princess said she wants to raise awareness of the disease’s deeper impact and the importance of holistic healthcare.
