Exciting News! The Princess of Wales will make a special appearance at Wimbledon this weekend. She will attend the prestigious outdoor tennis tournament in London tomorrow afternoon.
Bravely battling the effects of cancer treatment, the princess has made just one other public appearance this summer at the Trooping the Colour parade in mid-June.
Kensington Palace confirmed Kate’s attendance for the Sunday championship rounds and noted the princess will be at the Royal Box on Centre Court. Kate will present the men’s trophy on the final day of the 14-day tournament to either Serbian player Novak Djokovic or Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz.(Kate previously presented Alcaraz with the Gentlemen’s Singles Cup when he defeated Djokovic in 2023).
The mom of three who is herself a tennis enthusiast and reportedly takes lessons regularly, will undoubtedly be delighted to attend this year’s tennis match.
The princess has served as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club for the past eight years. Kate’s appearance on Sunday will mark her 25th time attending the tournament.
