The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are going Down Under! Preparing for a trip to Australia, the couple announced their plans to travel to the continent on March 8th.
The Sussexes will take part in business, philanthropic and charity endeavors during their mid-April trip.
Specifically, the duchess will participate in a special girls weekend from April 17th to the 19th — during the three-day luxury event she will host a special Q&A for 300 guests at the 5-star rated InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach.
Meghan will be the headliner at the ‘Her Best Life Retreat’ which is hosted by Australian podcasters and radio personalities “Jackie O” Henderson and Gemma O’Neill.
The retreat is focused on inspiring women entrepreneurs and business owners as well as offering a place for women to share stories of empowerment and resilience; a VIP experience ticket (costing $3,199) includes a chance to meet and converse with the duchess as well as an oceanfront room and access to speaker and wellness activities. Entry to a formal gala is also included in the ticket price.
It’s likely no coincidence the Sussexes are planning to meet Aussies soon as Meghan is reportedly expanding her As Ever brand and has secured trademarks for 12 lifestyle products in Australia including candles, skin care, gardening implements, food products, stationary and jewelry.
Currently, As Ever merchandise is only available for purchase in the United States — thus, this could be the first sign that the duchess is taking the brand global and will market and sell her line all over the world.
Harry and Meghan’s visit will mark the first time the royal couple has visited the continent since their visit in October 2018. During that special trip, Meghan announced she was expecting Prince Archie.
