The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attend a reception for the Queen’s Young Leaders at Buckingham Palace. This exciting event honors exceptional young people from across the Commonwealth who show leadership within their communities. The program celebrates those making contributions in improving lives across a diverse range of issues from mental health problems to quality education and promoting gender equality.
This will reportedly be the last celebration as announced on the Queen’s Young Leaders page declaring the 2018 award winners the final honorees.
Prince Harry told the Telegraph he remains hopeful about the future and is encouraged by the work of so many dedicated young people. He told the Sunday Telegraph: “I have really enjoyed meeting so many of them over the past four years, and their passion and understanding always leaves me hugely optimistic about the future.”
Many other guests will participate in honoring the young leaders including soccer star David Beckham who has previously attended the reception.
The Duchess looked at ease and extremely poised with the Queen. Since Duchess Meghan has recently had an outing with Her Majesty, it’s no wonder that she feels comfortable and confident around Prince Harry’s grandmother.
The Duchess of Sussex wore a two-piece bespoke cream-colored skirt suit set with by Prada with front double-breasted button details and matching belt. The top had a slight peplum effect while the asymmetric skirt was a unique and modern choice for business attire. Duchess Meghan carried a Prada Saffiano clutch which she has worn in the past to the Endeavour Awards. In addition, she chose beloved shoe brand Aquazzura and opted for the pointy toe pumps by the brand with bow detailing.
Shoes: Aquazurra Deneuve Bow Pointy Toe Pump
It’s no surprise that the Duchess selected Aquazurra pumps as she loves the unique details and classic shape of many of the brand’s sky-high stillettos. Meghan’s Bow Pumps are reminiscent of the Aquazurra Milano 105 heels with strap ties but these Italian shoes have a pert bow, side cutouts and a pointed pump rather than lace-up detailing.
Handbag: Prada Convertible Leather Clutch
Meghan accessorized with a silver cross bracelet that was reportedly a baptism present from the Queen as well as and Vanessa Tugendhat Parisienne earrings (thanks to @whatmeghanwore for the ID). Shop a similar style HERE and HERE
According to the Express, Meghan Markle’s radiant shimmery skin could be thanks to a Royal Glow pressed powder and skin perfector from Becca’s Cosmetics. The bronzed-opal powder can be used for skin contouring, highlighting or as more of a finishing illuminizer. Shop the powder HERE
