While Harry and Meghan plan a move to Frogmore Cottage with some serious renovations scheduled to turn the 17th century royal residence into a family home–no doubt many people will be curious about Meghan and Harry’s quaint abode nestled half a mile south of Windsor Castle.
In fact, many will be eagerly hoping for new pictures of the estate after the royal newlyweds remodel the two-story house 10-bedroom home but the public is likely not to be granted access to much of the construction process or the big reveal. Indeed, while aerial shots of the property may offer a glimpse into the Sussex’s new nest, there is likely to be only exterior pictures for public viewing. Still, it’s easy to speculate how Meghan might turn the home into a space that feels cozy and comfortable for her and Harry’s new bundle of joy.
While the couple is likely to want to make some serious upgrades with reports suggesting that there will be a nursery, gym and yoga studio added to the home, the pair will also likely want to put Meghan’s stylish home decorating style to good use.
Here are 8 Things Meghan’s Likely to Want in her and Harry’s new home:
- A Luxurious Closet

She will also likely make sure all her shoe and clothes are organized neatly by color. The cottage setting will also allow Meghan to install big, beautiful windows and a large skylight into her luxe closet.

This country-chic bathroom will be the perfect place to unwind and take a long epsom salt soak or indulge in a bit of jade rolling followed by a cup of tea in the tub.
3. A Private Yoga Studio
Since Meghan and Harry will be about 20 miles from London, Meghan will likely have much more space for her future yoga studio. Leaving behind their tiny Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace, the duchess will likely want to take advantage of her new 33-acres of private gardens with a custom yoga studio.
4. A Royal Nursery
No matter if Harry and Meghan have a girl or boy, Meghan is likely to gravitate toward a gender neutral nursery design with a minimalist white theme. A few posh extras like a trundle bed, canopy and chandelier will make the Sussex nursery space feel a bit glam but not over-the-top.
5. A Dressing Room
Meghan will likely need numerous fittings and tailoring sessions for her royal wardrobe–thus, she’s likely to need a dressing room fit for a duchess. The room will likely require lots of cabinet space, open and airy windows and a bench seat for all putting on all those pretty pumps and sky-high heels.
6. An All White Kitchen
Meghan and Harry will likely have an all white kitchen with an open-concept and granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Since Meghan loves to cook, she’ll likely have top-of-the-line cookware and speciality kitchen gadgets. For added flair, she could opt for country style wooden farmhouse chairs, baskets and a striped bench seat. Plus, loads of fresh flowers!
7. A Guest House for Doria
Since Meghan’s mom will likely be keen to spend time with her daughter and grandchild, Meghan will likely need a guest house for mom Doria Ragland. The space will probably simple, clean with splashes of gray, white and a bit of modern meets old world decorative accents like sconces and other vintage finds. Also, Meghan’s likely to add some high fashion coffee table books, a few simple portraits and lots of fresh greens from the garden.
8. A Wine Cellar
On her old Instagram page, Meghan showed she had an affinity for a good glass of red wine and was partial to glasses of Tignanello. Meghan and Harry will likely entertain many guests at their country home including Amal and George Clooney, Oprah, Serena Williams and Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, thus, they’re likely to need a fully stocked cellar of a variety of vino.
