While Harry and Meghan were attending a church service, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge dressed in their most elegant evening attire for a diplomatic reception at Buckingham Palace.
Kate was resplendent in a bespoke Jenny Packham gown that made her look angelic and very Cinderella-esque. The sparkly icy blue floor-length gown features flutter sleeves, dramatic draping around the back and glittery bead embellishments. Kate also added her Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II bestowed upon her by the Queen to recognize her achievements as a working royal in 2017.
Kate mingled with dignitaries and guests along with the Queen, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall who hosted the gathering.
To complete the dazzling look, Kate opted for the pearl and diamond tiara she donned in the past that was a favorite of Princess Diana. Known as the Cambridge Lover’s Knot Tiara (and also called the Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot Tiara), the sparkly headpiece was a wedding gift from the Queen to Princess Diana. Reportedly, the tiara is so heavy that it gave Diana headaches.
The duchess paired the glitzy tiara with Princess Diana’s Collingwood diamond and pearl drop earrings.
Kate also carried her Jenny Packham Casa crystal clutch to the evening affair.
