The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge landed in Cyprus after a busy day of engagements the previous 24 hours. In fact, the pair were likely a bit tired following a  Christmas party and a glitzy reception at Buckingham Palace. Yet, William and Catherine looked bright eyed and cheery for their trip to meet military families after flying on the Royal Air Force Voyager jet.

For this outing, Duchess Kate selected wide-legged pants by Jigsaw. Many people quickly drew comparisons from Kate’s style to Meghan’s modern wardrobe. As Kate frequently opts for feminine dress coats and dresses, the style seemed refreshing and novel for the mom of three.

Duchess Kate’s business casual ensemble with a blazer, pointed heels and wide-leg trousers did seem reminiscent of a few Meghan style moments but in typical thrifty fashion, the duchess actually was recycling many pieces from the look including the olive green blazer, possibly the scoop neck white t-shirt as well her belt and earrings and watch.

Kate loves the Smythe Duchess blazer and has worn it on repeat so many times that the brand eventually named the jacket after her. Kate owns the chic style in navy and green. For the look Kate selected the Smythe Duchess wool blazer in olive or army green. The blazer is a modern staple that every girl needs in her closet. Sleek and sophisticated when paired with long pants and blouses or t-shirts, the easy slip-on jacket works for business and play.
