After spending much of her royal career dedicated to child development as well as mental health initiatives for young people, the Duchess of Cambridge has now also become an advocate for those caring for the earliest months of children’s lives and is a supporter of midwives and medical staff who nurture the tiniest patients. Proving her passion for children, Kate spent two days in November of this year shadowing midwives and nurses at Kingston Hospital Maternity Unit. The duchess even managed to meet with some new parents and greet the latest arrivals in the ward.
For the visit, Kate opted for a Michael Kors shirtdress which has become a mainstay in her closet the last year. The mom of three has worn the comfortable but chic button front styles on at least three occasions. She chose a Kors carnation printed floral shirtdress for dropping off Princess Charlotte and Prince George on their first day of school and wore a peacock print dress by the designer in March in Blackpool alongside husband Prince William.
Kate selected a geometric print dress for her meeting with midwives and medical staff at the London based maternity ward.
Kate’s dress features a foulard patten with pinkish burgundy, black and white print. The duchess wore her own belt with the midi.
Following her visit, Kate penned a letter to the staff and offered thanks and appreciation for the dedication and hard work of the hospital who deliver over 5000 babies per year.
The duchess completed the look with her Kiki Lauren 18k gold heart earrings.
