In a symbolic sartorial shoutout to Scottish poet Robert Burns, the Duchess of Cambridge opted for a festive red tartan ensemble for her latest digital engagement. Appearing via video link alongside husband Prince William, the busy mom of three looked chic in what’s thought to be her ‘Anni’ dress from Emilia Wickstead.

The pleated red tartan dress features a stiff white point collar and is designed in a chiffon crepe for a vintage feel. Elegant and sophisticated, the Georgette midi has semi-sheer silk sleeves and button-up cuffs. Kate paired the holiday-ready dress with her Simone Rocha curb chain pearl earrings.

The Cambridges appeared in front of a variety of family photos for the call.

Kate has long been a fan of festive tartan and even wore the print before marrying into the royal family.
