While most people associate the Princess of Wales with a slew of sandy suede pumps, retro slingbacks or taupe court shoes — the mom of three is equally inclined to trawl her closet for a pair of knee-high boots. In recent years she’s become a superfan of the boot style and has added multiple pointed block heel Gianvito Rossi styles to her ever-growing shoe stash.

And though it may seem like Princess Kate’s love affair with knee-high boots is a recent development — in fact, she’s been wearing the high shaft styles for years.

Here are Kate Middleton’s 15 Pairs of Stylish Knee High Boots:

  1. Bally Double Buckle Leather Boots

The princess wore these whiskey brown leather boots starting in 2007 and was spotted in the streetwear-friendly style while working in London, attending polo matches and shopping. Almost always paired with skinny denim, she wore these brown boots to  Raffles nightclub in London with sister Pippa Middleton in October 2007, a Nelson Mandela Birthday Concert in 2008 and a Coworth Park Polo Match in 2009.
