The Sussexes have settled into their gated California compound in the sun drenched and flower rich paradise of Montecito. Raising their two children not far from the beach, the Sussexes have created a haven for themselves and their kids as well as friends and Meghan’s mom Doria Ragland.

Outside their mega mansion — they’ve secured million dollar deals, made new partnerships and hired talented teams. From Archewell to Invictus, here are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Future Career Plans and Projects:

  1. Spare Multi-Book Deal

Prince Harry’s book deal with Penguin Random House is reportedly worth around 40 million dollars. The duke’s first tell-all ‘Spare’ went on to break records as the fastest selling non-fiction book of all time — subsequent books with the publishing house will reportedly cover Harry’s life of public service and focus on his work with the Invictus Games. According to literary news outlets, additional memoirs will be released under the umbrella of the initial deal.

2. Meet Me At the Lake

Harry and Meghan have secured the rights to a popular romantic novel by Carley Fortune. The author was reportedly given nearly four million US dollars for her love story which will be turned into a RomCom feature for Netflix.

3. Dior Deal

Prince Harry attended King Charles’ coronation in a three-piece suit from French luxury fashion house Dior. It’s been rumored that the prince has signed an endorsement deal with the brand as they tweeted about his appearance and advertised Harry’s custom suit.

4. Cartier Calling

The West Coast based duchess is also allegedly looking to partner with a luxury label — rumors abound that Meghan will sign a contract with Dior, Michael Kors or even Givenchy.  Consistent speculation says that the royal mom of two will sign with Cartier; Meghan did purchase a Cartier watch as a gift for herself to celebrate the success of Suits and she proudly wears Diana’s gold tank watch from the iconic brand. Lately, this multi-hyphenate mogul has sported the Juste Un Clou nail choker necklace (as well as wearing the brand’s matching ring before her marriage into the House of Windsor). And the 42-year-old also accessorized with Cartier Reflection earrings and a coordinating bracelet for her wedding to Harry in May 2018.

5. Instagram Return

Persistent rumors suggest the duchess will soon make a return to Instagram. Though she and Harry have yet to create an Archewell page for the social media site, Meghan is thought to want to return to the platform. In August 2022, Meghan teased her return via The Cut magazine where she told the interviewer she had a secret and declared, “I’m getting back on Instagram.” Another clue of Meghan’s imminent relaunch? A mysterious account on Instagram with the handle @meghan — the account holder has their profile picture of pink peonies — a flower beloved by the Bench author. Finally, the tipoff the secret account holder is the California born royal —  Meghan’s mother used to call her daughter ‘flower.’

6. The Tig 2.0

In the same vein, Meghan may also use her notoriety to relaunch her defunct lifestyle brand The Tig. The Instagram account and Tig blog provided the duchess with the chance to share favorite recipes, travel adventures, fashion finds and beauty products with her followers. In addition, Meghan revealed her beloved foodie obsessions, current reading list and shoe closet.

7. Invictus

Meghan will join Prince Harry for the Invictus Games Düsseldorf in September. Returning to where their love story all began, the couple will attend the tournament in Germany to honor injured veterans and military personnel. The documentary “Heart of Invictus” is scheduled to air on Netflix before the end of summer.

11. Talent Agency

On April 27, 2023 the duchess signed with talent agency William Morris Endeavor — the entertainment and sports agency had a revenue of five billion in 2021. WME’s former and current client list is a Who’s Who in Hollywood and includes mega movie stars like Ben Affleck, Kate Hudson, Jessica Alba and Hugh Jackman. The deal will see Meghan grow her portfolio of projects with the contract focused on film and television production, brand partnerships and business building. The new talent agency will also take over representation of Archewell.

12. Miscellaneous

In addition to their production ambitions and literary goals, Meghan may return to acting with either a walk-on or cameo role on a TV series or in the movies. It’s also believed she may host a talk show or write her own memoir. As the duchess is interested in sustainable fashion, she may delve into the world of design like friend Misha Nonoo or create another capsule wardrobe collection with an eco-friendly fashion label like did with her SmartWorks patronage.

13. Political Ambitions

The duchess previously cold-called Senators to lobby for paid family leave in November 2021 — she’s also become personal friends with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie. Meghan even revealed on her podcast Archetypes that she hosted the First Lady of Canada for a pool party — the famous friends drank wine on an inflatable pizza raft in the summer of 2022 and “giggled like school girls” at the Sussexes family home in California. It’s long been speculated Meghan could use her political networking and industry insider status to launch a political campaign, garner endorsements and run for office.
