A significant and special piece of jewelry for the queen, this stunning statement necklace was a gift to Her Majesty by the Nizam of Hyderabad in 1947 (one of the richest men in the world at the time). The abstract floral necklace was created by Cartier and appeared on Elizabeth in many official portraits and photographs prior to her ascension to the throne. With 38 diamonds plus 13 additional emerald cut diamonds and a pear-shaped drop center stone, the necklace is believed to be worth around 80 million dollars and rarely leaves the royal vault. The princess was spotted in the exquisite accessory in November 2014 at the National Portrait gallery and later wore the piece for a Diplomatic Corp Reception in 2019.
11. Three-Strand Pearl Necklace
Kate stepped out over the weekend in the Queen’s three-strand pearl necklace for the Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall. The palace previously confirmed Kate also wore the late monarch’s pearls for a Governors-General Luncheon shortly after the queen’s passing in September 2022.
12. Four Row Pearl Choker
The late queen was gifted pearls from the Japanese government which were used to construct this choker necklace; Garrard fashioned the necklace with four strands of pearls and a diamond clasp. The sovereign loaned the piece to Princess Diana for a visit to the Netherlands in 1982 and wore it herself for banquets and palace parties.
