Recently the Princess of Wales has appeared in two oversized and slouchy sweaters courtesy of English fashion brand and retailer Reiss. A prominent player on the British high street, this clothing company has been offering womenswear since 2000.


Defined by its modern apparel with a strong ‘boardroom chic’ aesthetic, the company founded by David Reiss, specializes in contemporary suiting separates like blazers and tailored trousers as well as traditional knitwear; the global fashion chain is also revered for their selection of unique accessories and vacation-ready bohemian styles like linen shirt dresses, flowing tropical print maxis and colorblock tunics.

The princess has long been a fan of the wide array of versatile and timeless attire from Reiss. She’s worn belts, blouses and bags from the label as far back as 2007 when she appeared in a London nightclub wearing the brand’s short sleeve blush barocco silk top with black beading. It’s clear why the princess continues to covet this sustainable minded and stylish fashion house.

1. Reiss Angel Coat

An olive colored coat with a large wrap around collar and stitch detailing, this wool topper is smart and sophisticated and perfect for royal duty. The princess debuted the  coat in North Wales in November 2015.


2. Reiss Hollie Double-Breasted Linen Blazer

A linen blend fabrication makes this blazer a win for summer layering. Kate donned the light blue double-breasted blazer with mottled buttons and peak lapels in May 2023 while chatting with concertgoers ahead of King Charles’ Coronation concert.


3. Reiss Larsson Twill Blazer 

A neutral jacket with a wool blend, this oatmeal colored blazer offers elegant simplicity. Kate has worn the jacket on three occasions including to visit the RAF Norton and the Disasters Emergency Committee to learn about efforts to support people affected by the conflict in the Ukraine.

A fan favorite of the princess’ clothing, this colorful cobalt blazer dress was worn by Her Royal Highness at the Treehouse Children’s Hospice in March 2012. 7. Reiss Olivia Cream Coat

One of Kate’s most celebrated rewears is this double-breasted wool and cashmere blend coat from Reiss. The princess has worn the elegant coat on multiple occasions over the years on and off duty; she’s owned the topper since 2007 and has been clad in the coat for birthday parties, charity concerts, school graduations and a trip to Dublin, Ireland.


8. Reiss Edina Cashmere Blend Jumper in Navy and Cream

The princess appeared in the dark blue version of this funnel neck sweater for her Mother’s Day card in 2024 and also wore the cream version of the luxe cashmere blend pullover for a visit to a baby bank in 2023.

11. Reiss Rubik Houndstooth Wrap Coat

A woven wrap coat with a black and white houndstooth pattern, this high neck coat boasts a concealed button front and removable belt. Kate has worn the design, made in Romania, while doing Christmas shopping in London in 2015 and again on duchess duty the same month for a visit to an addiction treatment centre.

A cobalt blue coat with a structured silhouette and bold stand up collar was the perfect choice for the princess to wear to a September 2015 Rugby World Cup match alongside Prince Harry. Kate paired the vibrant coat with a Beulah London Shibani heart scarf.

A casual sleeveless pinstripe blouse with a stand collar, pin tuck pleats and contrast black buttons, this cotton and silk shirt appeared on Princess Kate in July 2014 at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. A classic LBD with long sleeves and pleated wrap skirt along with a removable black belt was the right style choice for an evening event. Kate wore this knee-length dress from the brand’s 2009 collection at an exclusive party in Mayfair in October 2012. (She wore the design with a black coat from the palace’s private dressmaker.)


15. Reiss Ivory Nanette Dress 

A frill front dress in white was a sensible and cost conscious choice for the royal bride-to-be. Kate paired her affordable high street dress with its three-quarter sleeves and asymmetric draped neck with her white topaz egg earrings from Links of London and her sparkling sapphire engagement ring for stunning engagement photos taken by Mario Testino.  Later, the princess wore the dress on tour in Canada in July 2011 with a maple leaf hat by Sylvia Fletcher and red court shoes by Hobbs London.


16. Reiss White Chiffon Peacock Dress 

A mesh dress with corded white embroidery and round neck was the princess’ choice for the Epsom Derby in June 2011. She paired the soft silk tulle skirted mini with a white Nessie jacket by Joseph. (Taylor Swift has also been seen in the red version of the dress).


17. Reiss Shola Camel Bandage Dress 

A cap sleeve and figure skimming bodycon dress, this sheath appeared on the princess not long after the royal wedding in May 2011. Kate wore the banded waist dress to meet the Obamas in The 1844 room of Buckingham Palace.

The royal mom had her mini-me Princess Charlotte hold her Cincotti frill satin clutch for a wedding in September 2018. The small clutch bag has a frill exterior with silver grey lining and a hinge closure. The bag is from a past season Reiss 2009/2010 collection.
