The Princess of Wales was resplendent in red for the French State Banquet this evening at Windsor Castle. The white-tie affair was held in honor of President Emmanuel Macron and Brigitte Macron.
Wearing a flowing red Givenchy gown with split sleeves, Kate was breathtaking in her glamorous fairytale dress. The sweeping floor-length evening look was perfect for the special occasion; the red hue complemented Queen Camilla’s white gown and First Lady Macron’s blue caped gown — thus, representing the colors of the French flag.
For the opulent dinner, the princess wore a draped silk chiffon gown by Sarah Burton for Givenchy.
For accessories, the mom of two was adorned with royal regalia including The Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II and The Royal Family Order of King Charles III.
She rewore the sparkling Greville Diamond Chandelier Earrings — first debuted at the Jordanian Royal Wedding.
In keeping with tradition, the princess also recycled the Lover’s Knot Tiara for the formal function. She accessorized with her Nigel Milne Three-Strand Pearl Bracelet from the late Princess Diana’s collection.
The British beauty also debuted a new red hard box clutch with a Lily of the Valley motif designed by Givenchy. Princess Diana included the delicate flower in her wedding bouquet as did Princess Kate in her bridal bouquet.
Considered a lucky flower, Lily of the Valley symbolizes love, marriage and purity. It was the late Queen Elizabeth’s favorite flower and was featured in her coronation bouquet.
It’s believed Kate also wore Jimmy Choo Romy velvet pumps in black or burgundy.
