In what can best be described as beautiful balletcore, the Princess of Wales looked like a cast member of Swan Lake in her French couture look to greet the President of France Emmanuel Macron and his wife First Lady Brigitte Macron today in London.
Appearing ethereal in her Dior debut, the princess was radiant in a blush pink Bar jacket and frothy tulle skirt for Day 1 of the French State Visit.
While Princess Diana frequently stepped out in looks from the French luxury label and was often photographed carrying her iconic Lady Dior quilted bag, the current Princess of Wales has never worn the brand before today.
Kate and William greeted the President and First Lady of France on the tarmac at the Royal Air Force base in Northolt.
Later, they traveled to Windsor Castle for the ceremonial welcome followed by a viewing of an indoor exhibit of art and literature items prepared by the Royal Collection.
For the visit, the princess wore a two-piece suit set from the fashion house Christian Dior.
Kate exuded elegance in a Parisian chic ensemble featuring soft pink separates.
The princess opted for the wool and silk single-breasted Dior Montaigne Bar Jacket in Rose Des Vents which was designed by the fashion house in 1847; the jacket has recently been reimagined by Italian fashion designer and current Creative Director of Dior Maria Grazia Chiuri.
The structured jacket boasts three buttons with notch lapels and is fully lined in silk.
In addition, Kate wore a bespoke beige hat designed by milliner Jess Collett called the Rita Boater hat featuring a delicate ribbon accent with the rosette embellishment removed.
And for a handbag, Her Royal Highness carried her Mulberry England Bayswater Clutch in Buttercream suede.
For footwear, she donned her Gianvito Rossi 85 Praline Suede Pumps.
And for accessories, she wore Queen Elizabeth’s 3 Strand Pearl Necklace and Princess Diana’s Collingwood Diamond Drop Earrings.
