On Saturday, Meghan Markle will turn 37-years-old and this occasion marks the first time Prince Harry and his wife will celebrate her birthday as a married couple. In her old Instagram posts and on her blog The Tig, Meghan often shared musings on her birthday.
In 2016, the duchess expressed a deep sense of gratitude and a thirst for adventure, saying, “I have to say that when I close my eyes and think of what I wish for, I come up with a blank. A big old happy blank. I am feeling so incredibly joyful right now, so grateful and content that all I could wish for is more of the same. More surprises, more adventure, more opportunities to grow, more days filled with giggles and cheeky jokes, more delicious meals, and more inspiration. Always more inspiration.”
We love the positive and upbeat tone of Meghan’s birthday message. To celebrate her 37th year, we’ve rounded up a list of Meghan Markle-approved gifts that would be perfect for any celebration or special occasion:
The Duchess of Sussex had that perfect bridal glow on her wedding day and in all likelihood this was one of the products that she used before saying ‘I do’ to her Prince. In multiple interviews, Meghan mentioned this rice powder which gently buffs the skin without being too abrasive. “It just sort of foams on your face and gives you a really subtle exfoliation,” Markle told Allure in July 2014. In addition her former makeup artist revealed that she also loves the Tatcha Dewey Skin Mist.
Meghan Markle reportedly burned three floral Diptyque candles with Prince Harry before the royal wedding at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor on May 19th. The former actress also posted a picture on her Instagram in June 2016 displaying home decor pieces including the Diptyque Figuier Scented Candle. “Fragrance is my favorite thing, so much so that if I leave the house and I don’t put any on, I’ll turn around and go back home,” Meghan Markle once told UK’s Express. “I alternate between a few scents,” she explained, naming Oribe’s signature scent featuring Calabrian bergamot, white butterfly jasmine, and sandalwood notes among her top picks. The duchess also mentioned loving a good spritz of Jo Malone Wild Bluebell Cologne and Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt Cologne.

While Duchess Meghan often prefers delicate and dainty jewelry, she doesn’t mind a luxurious and solid timepiece. Speaking to Hello! magazine in 2015, Markle said: “I’ve always coveted the Cartier French Tank watch.” When Meghan found out her Suits show had been picked up for a third season, she “totally splurged” and bought a two-tone version of the watch. Markle even engraved the classic piece with “To M.M. From M.M” – and revealed plans to “give it to my daughter one day.”
