The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stepped out the day after the arrival of their nephew to attend to royal duties in Greenwich in southeast London where the pair launched the King Regatta’s Cup.
For this outing, Kate selected a familiar nautical style. The duchess has been partial to stripes in the past and in July 2017 was spotted in a similar blue and white striped shirt on a regatta boat in Germany. Kate has previously worn striped pieces along with sailing-inspired attire on numerous occasions but she always manages to put a fresh spin on the professional style.
For today’s outing, she opted for L.K. Bennett ‘Parker’ trousers (sold out) and a striped sweater similar to those by Joostricot along with an Emmy London Natasha Lipstick bag and Emmy London Josie block suede pumps in navy plus her trademark sapphire earrings. Kate and William also spoke about baby Sussex revealing that they didn’t know the child’s name yet and that they were “thrilled” for Harry and Meghan. William jokingly welcomed his brother to the ‘sleep deprivation society of parenting.’
And on another fashion note, Kate’s outfit today was similar to a style worn by Duchess Meghan in February 2018 when she opted for Veronica Beard Adley pants in Scotland with Prince Harry.
