Meghan Markle returned to her roots when she spent time in the kitchen for a visit to SoCal charity The Welcome Project. Engaging in one of her favorite pastimes cooking (the duchess often shared recipes and foodie-themed advice on her lifestyle blog The Tig), the duchess was all smiles in an Archewell Foundation apron for an evening of making meals and sharing stories.

For the outing, Meghan recycled her J.Crew black cashmere sleeveless sweater shell worn at the Invictus Games in the fall of 2023 in Germany.

The stylish 100% cashmere knit is perfect for casual outings and warm weather. Sleek and slouchy, the cool girl layering piece can even be monogrammed for additional preppy flair.

This is not the first time Meghan has incorporated cooking into her charity projects — she also helped raise money for the Hubb Community Kitchen with her Together cookbook.

Meghan’s visit to the Welcome Project accompanied news of the relaunch of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s website which has moved from archewell.com to sussex.com. The rebrand has focused the Sussexes work on philanthropy and charity with their Archewell commercial and entertainment endeavors being an offshoot of their new office. Beyond their media ambitions, the couple seem to be pivoting toward even more humanitarian outreach and advocacy work.
