The Prince and Princess of Wales celebrated moving into their new Forest Lodge home by throwing a ‘Pub Party’ for builders and staff who worked on making their dream home a reality.
Kate and William threw the bash on Halloween on Friday the 31st to thank the team who participated in renovations on the property. The royals hosted the celebratory event at the York Club, not far from their dream home in Windsor Great Park.

Recently, the Wales have spent their children’s half-term break completing their move to the new property and have officially left their former Adelaide Cottage home.
Forest Lodge is a Georgian mansion and boasts plenty of amenities for the Wales brood and offers eight bedrooms, six bathrooms, a ballroom and multiple fireplaces. The property also offers tennis courts and a lake. {Read More}
Protected by fencing, security cameras and a ha-ha (or sunken fence), the property is designated a family home and will not serve as a place to host diplomats and dignitaries (like similar royal residences).
The family of five will also continue to operate without live-in staff; their longtime nanny Maria Borrallo is expected to reside nearby on a smaller property. Housekeepers and other staff will live nearby.
The move also is conveniently timed ahead of Prince George leaving Lambrook (where Princess Charlotte and Prince George are also currently enrolled) and graduating to attend a new boys school, Eton College. The Wales’ eldest son will be a pupil at the public boarding school in Berkshire just 15 minutes from the family’s new Forest Lodge home.
The Prince and Princess of Wales will also retain their Kensington Palace apartment in central London for official royal engagements and meetings.
It’s been reported that the Wales were delighted to move before the holidays and crews worked extra hard to ensure they would be able to occupy their new home ahead of the Christmas season.
