The Duchess of Cambridge had her first ever joint engagement with the Queen (at a previous engagement together they were joined by the Duke of Edinburgh) at King’s College London. For the outing, the monarch went for pink despite a seven year gap since her last outing with the duchess. And not to be outdone, Kate also opted for a sentimental throwback with her Fairy Tale hat from Lock Hatters.
Kate wore her Fairy Tale hat by Sylvia Fletcher which she has frequently worn in the past for various royal engagements.
Kate and the Queen also shared a blanket as they pulled up to the College. Not unlike their cozy car ride at Balmoral during their Scottish summer getaway.
During the visit, Kate and Her Majesty toured the facilities, viewed a robotics demonstration and got a view of London from the terrace.
The Queen also unveiled a plaque to open Bush House and sat alongside Kate in the auditorium.
For the outing, Kate opted for a gray Catherine Walker ‘Zeline’ coat along with Gianvito Rossi Piper 85 Suede Pumps.
Kate added her Kiki McDonough 18k yellow gold and cushion cut pink morganite diamond drop earrings. And the duchess completed the look with her Mulberry Bayswater clutch.
Later, Kate wore the same coat for a visit to Foundling Museum.
