Departing Los Angeles on Monday for the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, the Duchess of Sussex wore a laidback ensemble for the 13 hour plane ride to Germany. The mom of three opted for a JCrew Cashmere Shruken sweater in navy, Ulla Johnson Polina Pants, a Bellechasse Biaude PM Bag in Grey, Valentino Garavani Roman Stud Mules in Ivory and a Hermes Brides de Gala Applique Pique Shawl 140. Meghan also accessorized with her Janessa Leone Michon hat in bleach as well Celine Triomphe sunglasses in black.

On Tuesday night, Duchess Meghan attended a Friends and Family Event with Prince Harry. The royal beauty did her own hair and makeup after disembarking off her flight from Los Angeles. She wore a new Banana Republic pleated midi shirtdress in black. The poplin point collar dress can easily work for laidback daywear, professional attire or even as an option for formal events like a low-key wedding.

This dress is signature Meghan who has an ongoing love story with button down dresses in linen and cotton. As a busy mom of two young children, she can’t resist the versatility of a flattering shirt silhouette.

The following day, Meghan stepped out for a Wheelchair basketball preliminary competition in a JCrew sweater and Staud shorts.

The look was heralded for being part of the quiet luxury movement. Meghan’s JCrew Giselle Sweater-Blazer in ivory with a contrasting black trim was serious #stylegoals. The chic daytime layering piece has a longer length and relaxed fit — the polo-friendly piece is accented with gold buttons and patch pockets. Plus, the subtle black tipped cardigan has an easygoing preppy aesthetic perfect for the sporting competition. And a short suit topped with a cardigan sweater has a more approachable vibe than a structured skirt or pantsuit. Meghan’s look was a refreshing departure from luxe labels she wore to Invictus 2022 (Valentino, Khaite and Brandon Maxell) to truly shine the spotlight on and celebrate the sporting contenders.

Meghan paired the ivory sweater with new oatmilk Luisa shorts from Staud. The high-waisted cotton blend shorts have a relaxed fit with turn back cuffs. She finished the look with her Givenchy Double G Belt and Chanel Flat Slingback sandals in beige and black. The cap toe flats have a comfortable sling-back strap and modest 0.8 inch heel. The duchess added Luna Skye baguette diamond leaf studs to finish the ensemble.

The California homeowner was snapped in casual Hermes sneakers for a high-five with the Invictus Games mascot. Meghan’s black sweater and skinny jeans were just the right ‘understated elegance’ vibe for a sporting event — the practical and simple sportswear outfit (reasonably priced!) was perfect for the German climate and felt like upgraded athleisure. At Invictus, the duchess showed off her prowess for reinventing her wardrobe — she displayed the power of recycling key wardrobe pieces like jeans and footwear with new and strategic additions like her recently purchased diamond leaf earrings.

At the swimming finals on Day 4, Meghan brought back her flawless messy bun hairstyle. Later, she wore her tresses down for watching a wheelchair basketball final. Many news outlets were swooning over Meghan’s glowing complexion and dewey foundation. Meghan’s look was down-to-earth and many royal fans applauded the duchess for her VIP-free approach to the games. With less luxe fashion, the attention remained focused on the athletes. She also was doing her best diplomatic dressing (wearing the Invictus Games signature colors) while staying true to her love of soft neutrals and earthy tones.

The duchess was glowing as she and Prince Harry watched competitors in the pool. For the outing, Meghan wore a JCrew Cashmere crewneck sweater shell in black paired with Frame Le Color Cropped skinny jeans in film noir. The super stretch mid-rise denim are saturated in a black color wash. Mrs. Invictus (as she’s known) was also spotted in Hermes ‘Get Sneakers’ and her Aquazzura Purist pumps which she’s only worn once before while appearing for a sit-down with Oprah.
